Patchwork Loves Embroidery {Book GIVEAWAY - CLOSED}

I’m a little bit addicted to cute hand sewing projects. So much sew, that I’ve stitched up and finished another pincushion from Gail Pan’s new book, Patchwork Loves Embroidery .

Bird Embroidery Pincushion

Birdie Pincushion 1

Have you purchased Patchwork Love Emboirdery yet? It’s filled with gorgeous embroidery patterns and projects. Best of all, Gail suggests mixing and matching the embroidery designs with the projects which makes it a little more fun and a great way to add a little of your own creativity to projects. If you’d like to read more, check out my review from the other day.
I’ve traced and prepared some of the stitcheries from Gail’s book and have them at the ready. Ready to stitch during kids after school activities. Ready to stitch when I’m waiting around for appointments. Ready to stitch in the evenings when I’m watching my favourite programs.
If you love to stitch and sew, you really must get a copy of Patchwork Loves Embroidery. It’s the perfect addition to your sewing library.

Gail Pan has kindly offered to give away a signed copy of Patchwork Loves Embroidery to a VERY lucky Samelia’s Mum reader.

If you’d like the chance to win, please leave a comment below, telling me:

  1. I love to hand embroider. I find it is an art form that is beautiful, useful, practical and is a great form of relaxation. For me it is addictive - once I get on a roll I don't want to stop. Often this means stitching way way way past sensible peoples bed times. I am making my first quilt ever at the moment and I would love to embroider some designs for patchwork cushions/pillows to put on my daughters first big girl bed with her new big girl quilt.

  2. now I'm working part time I would love to get back into hand embroidery... lovely projects like a table runner, a decent pin cushion and some scatter cushions are on my list of things to do :)

  3. Funny enough, preparing to move and found the embroidery pieces I made when my son was little.. I did enjoy the needle work and have already incorporated it into xmas stockings I made.

  4. I will stitch anything! Table runners, wall hangings, bags, sewing accessories just bring them on. I couldn't bare to watch much TV without my hands being busy. If I'm not stitching I pick up my phone & there no major rewards for any more crushing of candy or reaping of crops. Stitching wins! xx

  13. Growing up in a greek house I learned to craft early in life. Embroidery featured but not quilting. I have wanted to try for years but couldn't find the motivation. Seeing your work and that of others is making me anxious to retire soon so I can immerse myself in this craft. Somehow the projects featured make me cheerful and I want to try. I have the stash, I have the equipment and soon I will have the time.

  14. I love hand stitching and do so most evenings, so like you love to have smaller, portable projects traced ready to take with me wherever I go, From the projects you've done already, it sounds like a wonderful book - one to use over and over

  28. I love cross stitching and quilting and like to combine both hobbies by making my cross stitch finishes into wall hangings and pillows (like your lovely bird one). I am just getting into the stitchery designs and this book looks like the perfect accompaniment for making some small items to get started with. Thanks for the opportunity.

  29. That pin cushion is so gorgeous that I would have it on display and NOT stick pins into it. My largest stitching project to date is the Vignette quilt designed by Leanne Beasley and that is a long term project. I am almost finished a sashiko sampler panel that I will turn into either a wall hanging or a quilt.
    Stitching is 'my time' and is relaxing for me and I go into 'my zone' and all else is no longer a concern as it is so relaxing.

She created little crayon pouches as a party gift for my daughter's friends at her 2nd birthday. She made both of my daughters beautiful quilts and special dolls and bags for Easter. I know she would LOVE this book.

  79. Awww! I realised this is closed, but I thought since I'm here, I'll send you a comment anyway. Your blog is very sweet and I just had to give you a follow on fb when I saw some of your gorgeous posts. I love any projects that include little stitcheries...normally the more modern the better. I love beautiful brights and I love turning my own little drawings and designs into stitcheries too! I've made cushions, bags, pincushions, wall-hangings and embroidery hoops. They're usually quick to finish and always give me a sense of achievement to have created something myself.
