QUILTING: The 100 Day Kaleidoscope Project

#The100DayKaleidoscopeProject

For the next 100 days, I'll be joining "the global art project, in which anyone can participate". You can read more about it here.

The concept is really quite simple - decide what creative 'thing' you'd like to do for the next 100 days. Take a daily picture of it. Share it on Instagram with the official hashtag AND your own related hashtag (which will keep all of your pictures nicely together and easy to search).

I think the hardest part about this project is keeping it going. After about day 27 it'll probably get a bit boring, so you do have the freedom to stop. Or you could keep at it and make it all the way through and feel a wonderful sense of achievement on day 100.

Well... that's what I imagine it would feel like. Knowing me, I may not last the first month, but at this stage, I'm ever hopeful.

I decided to begin The Kaleidoscope Quilt - and I'll use the hashtag #The100DayKaleidoscopeProject over on Instagram.

The Kaleidoscope Quilt is a design by Sandra Boyle. I bought the EPP kit and templates from Cutting Cloth at a quilt show a couple of years ago and it's been patiently sitting and waiting for me to start it.

Realistically, I know that I won't be able to make a pieced hexagon shape every single day. But I figure if I only have time to baste some pieces, that will count towards it.

We go on holiday next week, so I hope to have lots of EPP pieces glued and prepared for stitching on the 20+ hours of flying to get to London.

Urgh!

I am married to a pilot, but have I mentioned that I absolutely, positively hate flying?

Will you be joining The 100 Day Project?
What crafty thing, do you think you could do for 100 days?
