Stitch Along {Book Review}

Stitch Along is a gorgeous book, put together by talented designer, Jenny Doh. Jenny along with 9 other designers have each designed 3 projects (30 in total), which in my opinion, makes this a ‘great value for money’ book.

The embroidery designs and patterns are sweet, fun and fresh (if a little unusual) and are used in some great projects. Projects which are suitable for different areas of life; from the kitchen to kids clothing.

The beginning of the book covers the basics. The stitching tool kit along with the process of transferring designs and a library of the stitches used in the patterns. The diagrams are excellent and I believe that a confident beginner would be comfortable enough to work through the patterns.

The embroidery designs are printed at the back of the book in colour. They’re all the same size and can be copied and adjusted to the desired size for the specific project.

Stitch Along is published by Lark Books and is available in Australia from Booktopia or Can Do Books and internationally via Amazon.

This pyjama squid project is high on my “want to make” list. Isn’t it just the cutest?!? I think this design works well as hoop art, but can you imagine it stitched onto a guest pillow?
