He enjoys "exploring" the Christmas tree which has resulted in many threats of packing up the tree before Christmas.
He loves our gold fish. When I say loves, I mean LOVES!
But after his exploration and playing, he also loves a cuddle. His little motor starts and he purrs and purrs and purrs.
Has anyone discovered a good trick to keep a kitten out of the Christmas tree?
A squirt bottle is always good to help keep cats off or out of things you don't want them in. You can also get small air sprayers that will automatically make a small hiss sound when the cat gets too close. My sister uses the air puffer/sprayer to keep her cats back from the door.
ReplyDeleteYou can also get a cat tree for him. Then he'll have something he's allowed to climb so the Christmas tree will be less interesting.
Thank you! We filled a water spray bottle and the kids take turns giving him a little spray when he climb the tree.
DeleteHe has a scratching post but I think he's a little obsessed with the baubles to have interest in it :)
Chester is so cute!
ReplyDeleteHe is a cutie. A pest - but cute :)
DeleteC'est trop mignon !
ReplyDeleteHe's so adorable! I've never tried it, but I've heard of wrapping the base of the tree loosely with aluminum foil. Make it nice and crinkly.
ReplyDeleteChester wins the prize of the year for the most adorable kitten! Thank you for sharing the pictures and may you and your family have the merriest Christmas ever with only good things in the coming year.
ReplyDeleteChester is so cute!
ReplyDeleteChester is so adorable! Ten years ago we rescued our two kitties just 3 days before Christmas. Like Chester, they made themselves right at home....including the Christmas tree. We took the tree down two days after Christmas. We have tried many things including peppermint oil on cotton balls (cats don't like mint), orange peels, and water spray bottles. As they get older it seems that they are not as interested but we still don't keep the tree up for very long. Good luck and enjoy your little cutie! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures make my heart melt, especially the last sleeping one. The first 6 months are the roughest as Chester learns the rules, but it will all be worth it. Merry Christmas to you and your expanding family!
ReplyDeleteChester is very cute !
ReplyDeleteWhen my cat was young, she slept in the Christmas tree ! Now, I place a smallest tree on a sideboard ...
Chester is a cutie! And looks to be curious and full of mischief :) Much fun!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog when looking for a quilted window valance idea on Pinterest and it linked to your cute pattern for the Entwined table runner you made... I am so inspired by your idea and am adapting it to my size needs to use as a valance instead... Have you heard of such before? Thanks for a great tutorial :) I am now a follower too. Happy 2015!
