The Hand Embroidered Haven {Book Review}

The Hand Embroidered Haven by Megan Frock (of The Downtown Housewife) shows you how to stitch, sew and applique your way to fun, funky home decor that will add style to your space.

The Hand Embroidered Haven Book

The Hand Embroidered Haven is filled with projects which are quirky, fun and which inspire the reader to get their needles and threads out, in readiness to create.
The 20 projects in this book, are divided into four main (fun) sections:
1. Living It Up and Dining In
2. Treat Me Sweet and Put Me To Bed
3. Itty Bitty Bedroom
4. Big Kid’s Crib

THEH Contents

The projects have a modern twist and are suited to any contemporary relaxed home. The designs are clever and unusual and will undoubtedly, have the stitcher, smiling while the stitch.
Honestly, how can the cover image with the bunny ears on a television, not inspire a smile?

THEH Robot

My son loves this applique and embroidered robot design and wants it on his bath robe, though I think it would be fun to incorporate it onto a pillow for his room. Perhaps even get him to stitch it…
I love this Stump Stool. Never, have I thought to create my own foot stool, but here in The Hand Embroidered Haven, there is a pattern and instructions on how to make my very own.
