Bake at Home with Zumbo {Giveaway CLOSED}

GIVEAWAY CLOSED
Winners are: Susan S, Perri D, Tracey R, Suzi C

If you’re a fan of Masterchef Australia, you will know (and love) Patisserie Extraordinaire, Adriano Zumbo. He is the man who introduced the word croquembouche to the Aussie vernacular. All of a sudden, we were all feeling just a little bit French and enjoyed throwing that word around.

When Adriano Zumbo first introduced to the croquembouche challenge to Masterchef Australia, I remember reading somewhere that kitchen supply stores sold out of croquembouche cones (or is it moulds) immediately.

Other than his work on Masterchef Australia, Adriano Zumbo owns Patisserie’s in Balmain and Manly, a café in Rozelle as well as a concept store at The Star in Pyrmont (which I’ve been lucky enough to visit).

For the very first time, home cooks can buy a bake at home kit of Zumbo’s famous macarons and sweet treats in the grocery aisles!

Adriano Zumbo, has produced a new range of dessert mix packs which include all the necessary ingredients and easy to follow, step by step instructions for every standard of baker.

We were sent a couple of the packet mixes to try at home. Yummo!

So the other day, Amelia and I made the chocolate brownies together. We love any excuse to bake together.

I have to admit that the instructions are super, SUPER easy to follow. Other than melting some butter in the microwave, my 5 year old pretty much made the brownies herself.

Mixing is such serious business!

And the result? Amazing chocolate brownies with a thin crunchy top layer and gooey chocolate deliciousness in the centre.

Adriano Zumbo’s dessert kits are available at all leading supermarkets with an RRP of $7.79 and come in a range of complexities from the more challenging Macarons to the ultimate brownie which requires no skill at all but tastes super delicious. Find them in the cake mix aisle.

NB: I had a look at my local Woolworths and Coles the other day in the hope of buying some of the salted caramel macarons and found that they’d sold out on the day they were released. So what I’m saying is, this is sure to be a popular dessert over the coming holiday period, so if you see them, buy!

    The rafflecopter isnt working but these look so cool. My kids and I have seen Mr Zumbo on tv and they would think they were unreal if they could cook like him. I normally love cooking chocolate cakes, so this would make a great change.
