A little bit of wonk

I can honestly say that I had never set out to make a wonky block before... today.

Usually if my blocks are wonky it's because I've not cut straight or not sewn straight.

Well today was a little different.

I got this bright and fun FQ bundle called "Playdate" by Patty Young (Michael Miller Fabrics) from Fat Quarter Shop and decided to just... cut into it.
This is how it's looking so far.

I kinda like the wonk.
I think I've become a wonky convert.

Have you been over to the Want it, Need it, Quilt Store lately? Layer cakes at only $30. Unheard of in Australia. Go and buy some - quick! I'm eyeing off a Central Park one.

If you love stitching, head on over to the Vignette in Stitches Blog for a giveaway. Up for grabs in a gorgeous pattern by Leanne Beasley.
