Add some Va Va Voom to dinner time {Giveaway}

You may or may not know that I come from Southern European stock. My parents immigrated here in the 60’s and brought with them all of the traditional cooking and eating habits... like olive oil. We’ve always used it in our cooking –even before it was fashionable. Or maybe we were just ahead of the times.

So when I was approached to try out some new products on the market by boutique producer of olive oils, Rich Glen Olives, I was more than happy to put my hand up (or should I say out…).

Yarrawonga’s Rich Glen Olives has taken it one step further with their fabulous flavour infused oils.

I received a bottle of Agrumato Zesty Lemon and Lime Extra Virgin Olive Oil (which incidentally was the Grand Champion at the recent Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards). As soon as I opened the bottle, the aroma was delicious. I brushed some over a chicken I was roasting for dinner that night and it was extra yummy. If you’re into baking, I think this oil would also be very tasty used in cakes.

In my goodie package, I also received a packet of the new Dukkah in Macadamia, Cashew, Lemon Myrtle and Kaffir Lime. Plus an olive oil and salt rub with Sweet Chilli and Garlic.

We had a packet of chicken thighs, so decided to try out both. No, not at the same time. On different pieces of chicken.

I do think we used too much of the red packet and it was a little salty for my liking, so use it sparingly (which it does say to do on the packet).

Both the dukkahs and rubs are priced at a very affordable $12. The range can be viewed and ordered online at www.richglenoliveoil.com.

A little bit goes a long way, so a packet will be plenty for a few meals.

With thanks to the lovely people at Rich Glen Olive Oil, I have a package of the Zesty Lemon & Lime Olive Oil, plus a Dukkah and a Rub - to give away to one lucky Samelia’s Mum reader.

If you’d like the chance to win, pop on over to the Rich Glen Olive Oil Facebook Page and “Like” it. (Maybe you can leave the lovely people at Rich Glen Olive Oil a comment, telling them you’re stopping by from the Samelia’s Mum blog.)

Then come back and leave a comment here on this post, so that I know you’ve done it. Too easy – right?
