Sewing with Everglow

Last week, I had the joy of working with some Tula Pink fabrics from her newest range called Everglow. Along with the fun animal prints, the range also includes co-ordinating stripes and dot prints... and they're neon! I know that bright neon colours aren't everyones favourite for projects but, I must say is that they've certainly been very popular and an eye-catching talking point as customers walk into the store and see our display.

I was tasked with making a small Everglow project for the store. The hardest decision what choosing which print to use. I love the orange lion print the most. I envision this lion at the centre of a circle quilt or as the centre of dresden or wheel blocks. I decided on the purple giraffe print along with the purple stripe.

I decided to make a Large Clam Up pouch (pattern byAnnie), fussy cutting the giraffe print so the cute animal was the focus of the bag. The stripe was the lining fabric and I used a chunky purple zipper to hold it all together.

I still had some fabric leftover, so I made an Everglow giraffe pot holder. A giraffe was also fussy cut for the front pocket. I used the free pot holder pattern over on Bombshell Bling. I've used this pattern a few times and absolutely love it. Here's the link if you'd like to check it out.

  2. I almost picked up the purple giraffe fabric last month at a quilt show and then passed on looking at other things and never went back for it - cute!

No doubt about it - your work is beautiful! Can you give the name of the shop where the
Tula Pink fabric that you made the clam thread bag from and its location? It looks to have some good fabric.
