Victoriana in Homespun Magazine (+ a giveaway)

I'm very pleased to share that my quilt Victoriana is featured in the latest issue of Homespun Magazine (issue 24.1).

Victoriana Quilt by Anorina Morris

Not only is it exciting to see my quilt in print (I'm waiting for my personal copy to arrive, but we received the magazine at the LQS where I work and I saw it over the weekend), but it's also the issue introducing the 2023 BOM - Owl & Hare Hollow - designed by Natalie Bird.

Now back to my quilt ;-)

It's made with beautiful Island Batik fabrics - the range is called "Victorian" and is a signature collection by Kathy Engle for Carol Moellers Designs.

I designed it using Electric Quilt by uploading all of the fabric swatch prints to EQ8. It's such a fabulous tool to be able to lay out colours/prints before cutting into your actual fabric.

I used the Tucker Trimmer ruler by Studio 180 designs to trim all of the HST's (and there were many).

Pieced and quilted with my favourite Aurifil cotton 50wt thread #6722.

This issue of Homespun Magazine 24.1 is now on sale and is available to purchase at newsagencies, your local LQS or online at https://www.universalshop.com.au

PS: The Island Batik ambassador All Puffed Up blog hop kicks off this week and there are giveaways.

You can visit Island Batik for all of the blog hop information right here. Island Batik will be giving away a couple of FQ bundles each week and I know that a lot of the ambassadors were thinking of having some giveaways of their own. Mine day will be Valentine's Day so come back then to see my delightfully puffy quilt.

If you'd just like to enter the Island Batik FQ giveaway, here's the rafflecopter form. Good Luck!

  3. Congratulations on such a great result from a fabulous quilt! Love stars and this one is real pretty. I love Island Batiks because they don't pink the edges of the jelly rolls.
