Scrappy Christmas Coasters

We had our work Christmas party last night and it was lots of fun. It's been nearly twenty years since I've been to a work Christmas party and back then I worked in telecommunications so it was not necessarily as chatty a group as a group of quilty ladies.

As I'd only been there since July, I didn't realise that everyone made something for the group aside from our secret santa gift. It was just lucky that I was working on Monday and found out from one of my work mates.

I had a bit of a panic about what to make and then remembered a reel I'd seen on Instagram by @zeriano (Minki Kim) for scrappy Christmas coasters. Perfect!

The coasters were fun to make and the trickiest part was the reverse applique. In saying this though, once the first one was completed, the rest went more smoothyly.

They're all a little bit different and it was a lucky dip as to who received which one.

Now check out the goodies I came home with.

Everyone is just so lovely, talented and generous. I love where I work!
