Stitching Kindness SAL (Progress) and a Wrap-Up

My ILs have come to visit so I’ve not done much sewing over the past couple of days and I don’t expect much will happen over the next fortnight with the ‘end of term’ school holidays.

I finished the last installment of the Stitching Kindness stitch along and have printed up the newest lot of words to stitch up later this even for FNwF.

The Stitching Kindness patterns are by Susan Ache (@yardgrl60) and available weekly on the Aurifil blog.

Now speaking of the Aurifil blog - Auribuzz - they've also posted about the June Aurifil Artisan Showcase. This is where you can see all of the projects which the creators have made to showcase their individual welcome packs. Some of them are absolutely awe-inspiring.

In another wrap-up, Island Batik have shared all of the New York Beauty quilts which were designed and created by the ambassadors. This was such a wonderful challenge and I loved being put out of my comfort zone and found to actually enjoy the NYB process. I honestly doubt that I'd have tried making a NYB quilt if it wasn't for the challenge. Check out all of the quilts here and don't forget to enter the giveaway on their site which is still running for a couple of days.

  1. How nice that you're getting to spend some time with family as your kids begin school holidays. I hope you all have a wonderful time together. Seems like your embroidered words are just the right amount of stitching to keep you going, but not be overwhelming. Enjoy yourself!

Hope you were able to stay home and not leave because of the rain - it was on the local radio station here (Bavaria, Germany)! that many in your area had to be 'evicted' because of dangerous rising rainwater ...
