FNwF + Zooming

The first Friday of the month meant that it was Friday Night with Friends (FNwF), hosted by Cheryll of Gone Stitchin'. I knew exactly what I wanted to work on, so after dinner, I went into my sewing room and cut out a bunch of jewel EPP shapes and fabric with the Crossover II machine.

In a short amount of time, I had a big pile of papers (thin cardboard actually) and fabric all cut and ready to baste. We settled in to watch the new Disney film "The Jungle Cruise" on Fetch.

The Jungle Cruise is one of my favourite rides at Disneyland - yes I know it's quite sedate and probably not designed for those who love white knuckled adventures, but I like it.

I just had a look through the photos on my phone and found these ones from that ride at Disneyland. It was our last 'big' overseas holiday in 2019 before the pandemic.

So, we sat and watched the film, which was good. I think my husband enjoyed it most - being a man who loves a 'dad joke', he quite enjoyed the puns throughout the film.

This morning, I joined ChookyBlue and friends for a sewing group zoom. These online catch-ups are always enjoyable and I even managed to get online at around 7:45am (it started at 6:00am) so that I could see some of the international ladies in attendance.

I wasn't super productive during the zoom. I played around with some EPP pieces for my next Geranium Delight block and then decided to put that away and do a little bit of hand quilting on my Midnight at the Oasis quilt.

My zoom time was cut a little short as I had to collect my son my his shift at Macca's. Arriving home with my boy who made my car smell like hash browns and fries, I noticed that the daisies and plants in the front garden bed are all looking super bloomy right now. Some quick snaps to share of the purpleness out the front of my house. Disregard the weeds ;-)
