Meet Charlie

Not much sewing has happend at my house over the past few days.

Why you may ask? Well, we've had a new addition to the family. Meet Charlie, our 2 month old Cavoodle. He joined us on the weekend and honestly, he is a major time-sapper. I seem to spend half my time cuddling him and the rest of the time, trying to keep him away from cranky-pants Chester (the cat). I am literally holding him in one hand and typing with the other.

We've never had a dog before so it's a learning curve for us all. We have him booked in for his 2nd vaccination in a few weeks along with puppy preschool. It'll be after his 3rd round of needles before we can take Charlie for walks, and we're all looking forward to that.

I've created an instagram account for him so that I don't spam all my quilty friends with dozens of puppy photos. If you'd like to follow his journey, the account is @i.am.charlie.the.cavoodle

  2. Utterly delightful. We bought our first dog, Monty ten years ago and he is still the most loved and fussed over member of the family.

    1. Awww Monty is a gorgeous name for a pup. Yes I can believe Charlie will be the most spoiled member of our family, much to Chester (the cats) disgust.

    1. He really is fun and tries to get into everything. The poor cat isn't getting the usual amount of sleep he's used to.

    1. He's teeny tiny. Weighs less than 1.5kg - I've put an old cat collar on him (with a bell) as I'm worried we could step on him.

    1. Looking forward to taking him on walks and letting him play in the backyard (when it's not so cold). Heading out to get him a little jacket today. Bet he'll hate it haha

  8. He is simply gorgeous! You may think he is a 'time waster' today, but you just wait until his is older and needs/wants walks, playing with a ball, etc etc!!!
    P.S. I think I am a little envious.
