An Infinity Scarf

It's my friends birthday today and later tonight, we'll be going out for dinner to celebrate. Being super organised (which is quite unlike me), I started to crochet this scarf for her last week.

Each evening, I added a few more rows until I ran out of yarn. Luckily it was long enough to fold and stitch together to make this infinity scarf.

I found the Cluster V-Stitch Scarf tutorial on YouTube and added a few extra starting stitches to make it slightly wider than the pattern. Even though the yarn called for a size 4 hook, I tend to crochet quite tightly (I think of it as neatly) so I upsized to a 6.5 hook. It gives the scarf a lovely soft drape which wouldn't have been the case with the smaller hook.

My friend loves scarves. I don't think it's because of the weather because I don't think it gets THAT cold here - more of an accessory. She's a natural redhead so I think these colours will work well and I hope it'll be a welcome addition to her autumn/winter wardrobe.

And this beautiful blue eyed, ginger haired girl, is my model. My favourite daughter. It annoys her when I say it as I only have the one daughter :)
