Twirling at the Disco Quilt

My 'Twirling at the Disco' quilt has been sitting and waiting patiently for a little bit of attention. I think that the one thing I'm enjoying most about this quilt is using up my 2.5" scrap fabrics and trying to remember the projects I made with the fabrics originally.

I'm very close to finishing off the quilt top but keep procrastinating. I'm not sure why I can't seem to settle on doing any one thing for very long lately.

I need to get busy and just finish it. I'll be so pleased when it's all done.I've found a spot on top of my sewing machine where I can wedge in my phone and watch Netflix. I'm working my way through season 2 of "You". It's the type of show that I can listen to and only half watch if you know what I mean.

Here are a few different 'Twirling at the Disco' quilts that have been popping up on Instagram. It's so much fun seeing the different variations, made with different scraps and different colourways.

Here's a lap size version made by Felgall on Instagram. I really love that charcoal background fabric.

And quiltmekiwi has shared these two great baby size versions of Twirling at the Disco. These borders are a fun addition, don't you think?

What about this modern looking version white surrur_sunday is working on... gorgeous, right?

And I just love this red/white/blue TATD quilt made by alyciaquilts

If you're working on your very own Twirling at the Disco quilt, I would love, love, love to see it. Send me a message or tag me on instagram #TwirlingAtTheDiscoQuilt

  2. I've just finished my quilt top too and blogged about it if you want to see it. Like yours, it started as leaders and enders but then I got impatient and just sewed the blocks together. It's not as big as yours though. I realised my stack isn't very bright, so my scraps aren't either, although I think it is slowly changing (my stash I mean). Thanks again for a great pattern.
