Craft Expo 2011

I went to the Craft Expo in Sydney this morning. I'm so pleased that I went even though it's over an hour drive from home.

It's a much smaller show than the Craft & Quilt Fair held in June in Darling Harbour. Though smaller, it still had lots there to buy and plenty of classes and seminars for the more enthusiastic crafters.

They even had a woodturning exhibit which hubby enjoyed.

I was good and only bought a couple of template sets and a pattern after going to a seminar. Luckily I didn't go to anymore seminars as I'd probably have run out and bought more things.

I'm saving my $$$ for the Australasian Quilt Convention in Melbourne in April.

  1. The Melbourne show looks so good. I am almost tempted to fly down for the day (using the points from the fabric expenditure on the AMEX). I noticed though all the workshops are nearly sold out.

  3. I haven't been to a craft show for a few years, young kids put a stop to that for a while. I might try to get to the one that is in October in Brisbane, it is always on our anniversary weekend! Not that we go anywhere ;( !

Well done for keeping to a budget!
