Personally, I love so many projects in this book and am inspired to unwrap my favourite (hoarded) jelly roll (a JR of Terrain by Kate Spain) and use it in a project. Sure it’s pretty, sitting on my stash shelf, but no doubt it will be prettier actually incorporated into a quilt.

This quilt is called Summer Petals and I absolutely love it. Best of all, this pattern is designed for Jelly Rolls.

I’ve been thinking about my project for the summer – one which I can work on while out enjoying the weather and the school holidays.

I think that getting the little petals all cut and glued to the blocks, ready to applique, will make this perfect to keep in my hand bag and work on the go.
