Want to win a New Car?

I am a stay at home mum who quilts, crafts and bakes. I like everything handmade and am inspired by Martha Stewart. But, in a former life, I used to be a motor vehicle enthusiast… yes, I was a bit of a petrol head.

I was young and worked in the motor vehicle industry. I got to drive new cars all the time and was up to date with what was happening. These days, I drive a wagon and my main concern is that it gets me to where I want to go.

When I was approached to share some exciting news from Holden, I was super excited! It’s been a while since I thought about cars as anything other than how I get the kids to and from school and their numerous activities.

Holden will be launching the new VF Commodore in Australia, in mid-2013.
The launch of a new model is always exciting, but to make it more fun and build up to the big reveal, Holden have taken the image of the new VF Commodore and have spliced it up into 101 pieces.

These pieces will appear on statues, art galleries, billboards and online banners throughout Australian capital cities as well as online.

If you see one of these pieces, take a picture of it, sign up and upload the image. Moments later it will appear on the Holden website and the car will start to be revealed.

Now, for the best bit. Yes, seeing the new model bit by bit will be interesting and a bit of fun, but each person that uploads a photo to help build the VF Commodore is entered into a draw to win one of the first VF Commodores off the production line.

The more pieces you find, the higher your chances of winning it.

The competition will run from 6 February to 10 February 2013.

On Sunday, 10 February 2013, there will be a live stream of the reveal of the car on the Holden YouTube channel.

Clues of where the pieces will be hidden, will be updated daily in the Build The New Commodore website.

I’ve registered on the website and am now just waiting for the first clues. I’m in regional NSW, so I’ll be searching for the online clues.

I would love, love, LOVE a new car.

Preferably, a red one.

They go faster.
