Hippity Hop Bunny Pincushion

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Bronwyn Hayes. I think she’s a bit of a rock-star in the stitching world.

As a gift, to her readers, Bronwyn has shared this gorgeous stitchery and pincushion pattern. Isn’t he the cutest little bunny.

Is it me or does Mr Bunny look a little bit cheeky, clutching his Easter Egg like he’s been caught in the act of eating his chocolate egg, before Easter?
Amelia and I decided that we’d have a go at this project.

Here is my pink bunny pincushion. I decided that he should be called Hippity Hop Bunny... for no reason other than I liked the name...

Hippity Hop Bunny

I’ve changed the colours around a little bit. Mainly because even with a tub full of embroidery floss, I didn’t have any brown floss which I liked.

I used fusible parlan on the back of my stitchery, to aid with the stitching. Geez it's lovely to work with. I usually use fusible pellon, but parlan is a little sturdier but still lovely and soft. I highly recommend it.

Pop on over to Cookies n Cream and say hi to Sandy. Tell her I sent you. She stocks parlan and ships all over.

And here is Amelia’s effort. Mr Bunny is more of a psychedelic colour in her version.

Thank you Bronwyn Hayes for this fun Easter project. It has kept both mum and daughter happily bonding.

If you’d like to print the pattern and make your very own pincushion, pop on over HERE for the download and instructions.

    1. Thanks Melody. I'll tell her. She'll be pleased. She plans on colouring in some more and then we'll make some Easter cards out of them to give to family. Got to keep her working ;-)

  10. I'm stitching the Bunny too... perhaps it won't be too long before Amelia asks for a needle & thread, instead of a colour-in! Her colours are gorgeous!
