Tessa Basket

I made a bag. I’ve always been hesitant when it comes to making bags, but over the weekend, I made a bag.

Tessa Basket

Well, it’s more like a basket really. It’s called the Tessa Basket and I purchased the pattern is from Etsy. The fabrics are left over charm squares of April Showers by Bonnie and Camille and I almost had enough. Almost. I needed to use another charm square from a different line.

This afternoon, I signed up for the Quilt As You Go : Patchwork Bag class on Craftsy. I’ve watched it from beginning to end and am inspired to create the Tinker Tote. It’s a fun class and the instructor, Tara Rebman, makes the bag construction look easy and totally achievable. I’m willing to give it a go.

  2. I made a tinker tote after watching Tara's class on Craftsy. And if you follow her steps, it's really quite simple. I love my bag and use it ALL THE TIME. And I get a lot of comments on it. I'm pretty sure I shared it on the class pages somewhere.

  3. Hi Anorina - great job on the Basket - I went for a look at it on Craftsy - might even make one myself!
Although I haven't made any lately, I love making bags of all sorts - I just made a few of the Open Wide Zipper Pouch from Noodlehead.
    Enjoy your smart new basket!
