Teeny Scrap Hotpad

I’ve been at the scrap bucket again. A few months back, I made a cute set of trivet's for a magazine project with a charm pack by Fig Tree Designs… and then kept the larger pieces, which now when I look at them, weren’t really very large at all.

Of course I keep scraps of batting too, I just can’t help myself.

I placed the scraps with the edges together and then stitched them with a zig zag stitch. My only thought was to try to keep the colours and prints well spaced.

A little bit of extra stitching was needed… just for fun. I hand stitched around random pieces with both straight stitches and little teeny crosses.

Do you want to make a teeny scrap hotpad this weekend? Or a mug rug. Or some coasters. Or placemats. They’d all work and look great.
