Snapware {GIVEAWAY CLOSED}

Don’t you hate it when you put leftover food in a container in the fridge and one of the kids comes along and shuffles around for something, up turns the container and your leftover pumpkin soup spills everywhere?
I am a huge fan of PYREX and have a large range of their containers in all sorts of shapes and sizes. The ones with the the blue plastic lids are fantastic, though admittedly, our lids go through a lot of wear and tear and aren’t as tight fitting as they used to be.
Snapware have come with a fantastic solution. Total Solution Glass Storage has partnered with PYREX to offer Snapware’s signature 4 latch plastic lids with PYREX glass bases.

Snapware 2

This means PYREX’s oven safe, stain-resistant, tempered glass is combined with Snapware’s airtight and leak-proof, 4 latch plastic lid for convenient storage solutions. The same sized lids in the range stack together and all other sizes are nestable for space efficiency. This range is BPA free, microwave and dishwasher safe.

Snapware 1

I have been road-testing a number of these new Snapware Total Solutions containers and have found a new favourite way of storing food – especially leftovers. The glass dish itself is quality PYREX product and the 4 latch lids make these food storage containers completely airtight and leak-proof.
The lids are made of polypropylene (PP) and the seals are made of silicone. These plastics are 100% BPA free. Containers are food-safe and FDA approved.
Best of all, they’re both microwave and dishwasher safe. The new Snapware range is also suited not only for food storage in the refrigerator, but also for storing food in the freezer.
With thanks to World Kitchen, a lucky Samelia’s Mum reader has the opportunity to win this set of the new Snapware range (pictured).

I am not eligibile for the giveaway, but I will start the conversation - I live alone and when I make mac and cheese I make a lot so I can have many days of leftovers - somedays I add ham, somedays veggies.

Oh yeah - finally a glass bottom option! I feel like I am constantly transferring leftovers from their ovenware dish to a 'leftovers' dish with a lid. I'll have to look out for these! My favourite leftover meal is lasagne. I always think it tastes even better the next day. Although after reading Fiona's comment I feel like cottage pie...

My favourite left-over meal by far is my husban's spaghetti bolognase. He puts lots of delicious herbs and bits and pieces into it, so that even though it's amazing on the night, it's absolutely divine the next day. Yum!

I love using left over mashed potato to make the top for shepherds pie. I always make loads of mashed potato so I can make two shepherds pie, then we eat one and put the other one in the freezer for later.

My favourite leftover meal has to be roast lamb. Just like my mother always does I turn it into a Potato Pie. The lamb gets minced up & I add in whatever leftover gravy and veg there is & any other veg I find in the fridge. Top with mashed potato, bake & voila.

My favourite left over meal is slow cooked beef stew with potato and carrots in a red wine jus. It's always better the next day when the meat had time to soak in the jus.

I always make extra basic bolognese sauce, making sure there is leftovers. Which will become any of the following...
Lasagne, Pasta Bake. Stuffed peppers, Cottage Pie, Baked potato,Parma or Chilli Con Carne.
A tray of Mince can make 2-3 meals in this house.
But what I love to nibble on leftover roast "anything" the day after a big roast meal
