Christmas in July : Secret Swap

I’ve been a busy little bee, sewing up projects for my Christmas in July swap partner.

It is a secret swap, and I think I’ve kept it a secret quite well. My friend is none the wiser, even though we are quilty/crafty Facebook friends ;-)

I just have to share these pot holders which I made for my partner. I love them and am in the process of stitching up some more.

Christmas in July - Pot Holders

Is that reindeer cute or what!?!? The stitchery pattern is from an old issue of Handmade Magazine. They were originally Christmas Tree decorations, but I decided on pot holders.

I can confirm that my partner is a “she”. She will receive three handmade items. All Christmassy and ready to use around her house if she celebrates Christmas in July, or to keep aside and use in December.

Christmas in July

Once I know that my partner has received her parcel and opened it (on the 25th of July), I’ll share the other things I sent. And I’ll show you what I receive too. I will be eagerly stalking my mail man for the next 9 days.

Honestly though, I have to admit that I’m impressed I found some Christmas paper floating around the house. Well, actually it was in a box under the stairs, but you know what I mean.

Do you celebrate Christmas in July?

Do you have Christmas paper at home… in July?

Have you started crafting for Christmas?

  7. Love those! I have been on a Christmas pillow making spree. My college friends all have fall birthdays so I am making them all Christmas pillows this year. It has been fun making each one just a little different and thinking of Christmas during our 100 degree Dallas temperatures!

    1. Yes, I imagine thinking of Christmas while it's so hot is different. Christmas is usually hot here and I honestly can't imagine it any other way. Funny, isn't it? :-)

  8. More exciting presents! I store my Christmas paper in one side of Mitchell's wardrobe. Being a boy, he doesn't need two sides of hanging space! LOL!

    1. LOL – yes, this is true. They like to hang their things on the floor.
