CROCHET: C2C blanket

My C2C crochet blanket is finished. Yay!

One week, 3.5 yarn cakes and I have a snuggly new little blanket for the couch. Sure, it would have been easier and much cheaper to just buy an already made blanket, but where's the fun in that?

This blanket began as an after-thought. The night before we were due to fly to Melbourne, I was packing everyone's suitcases. I hadn't organised any hand sewing to take along (rookie mistake, right?) so squeezed in a few yarn cakes and the first big crochet hook I found(a 6.0), around the edges of the kids clothes.

I found the C2C tutorial on YouTube and went from there.

I just need to finish my rainbow rectangle granny blanket and then I can start something new. Possibly with the gorgeous bundle of Stylecraft yarn which arrived while I was away. Search for the Hydrangea pack by Attic24 over woolwarehouse.com if you'd like to get some of this soft yarny loveliness too

  1. Oh wow, that hydrangea pack is gorgeous!!!
Are you going to crochet an edging on your C2C? I did a crab stitch on mine to stop it from being too stretchy on the edges.
