An afternoon with some princesses

We're sitting in traffic while heading home after a magical Disney experience. Even seeing long snaking lines of red brake lights, the mood in the car hasn't been dampened.

Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream was a wonderful show. Probably my favorite one and certainly the kids favorite.

Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream is heavily princess focussed. The show begins with Mickey and Minnie welcoming us all. We then enjoy the stories and music of Tiana, Snow White and Cinderella.

After a short intermission, Rapunzel takes the stage with her man, Flynn. We watch Rapunzel and Flynn's story with wonderful skating and a beautiful aerial show. Everyone is the crowd 'ooohed and aaaahed" as the lanterns appear and Rapunzel's dream is fulfilled.

If you have the opportunity (and live near enough to Sydney's Allphones Arena), take your kids to Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream. They will love it... and I bet you will love it too.

A few tips:

- if buying any of the Disney gear, don't queue up at the stands when you first walk in the door. Make your way around towards the side entry doors where the queues are limited (and even non-existent).

(No queues outside door 9)

- if driving, pay for parking when you arrive. It will save you waiting in the loooooong queues after the show with over-excited, over-stimulated or tired children.

- at the end of the show, the performers greet the kids who come down to the edge of the ice skating stage. If your child would love to say hello to the stars, head down while Mickey & Minnie are calling out all of the characters to take their bows.
