Triple Scoop Sundae

I finally made my first block from the "Snapshots" quilt along over at the Fat Quarter Shops blog, Jolly Jabber.

This block is called Triple Scoop Sundae and after seeing the block over at Pam Kitty Morning blog last night, I printed up the instructions and made the block.

The pattern is very easy to follow and paired with the YouTube tutorial, this block came together quickly.

The pattern even includes pressing instructions so that the seams nest beautifully.

The quilt is beautiful and the quilt along is a charity project from FQS to raise money for St Jude's.

Rather than go back and start at block 1, I thought I'd work my way backwards from this one which is block 6. I like the idea of making the blocks into mini quilts. This one was quilted with straight lines, 1/2" apart.

Can you just imagine a wall of these snapshots blocks as mini quilts? Too cute!

  3. Your Sundae blocks looks great as a mini. I have made the first 5 blocks but not sure how I will finish them. Minis is a good idea.
