Sweetly Stitched Handmades {Book Review + Sew Along + Giveaways}

Sweetly Stitched Handmades is the beautiful new book by Amy Sinibaldi and published by Tuva. Amy is the creative genius behind one of my most favourite blogs - Nana Company.

Sweetly Stitched Handmades by Amy Sinibaldi

Sweetly Stitched Handmades includes 18 lovely projects to sew for you and for your loved ones. The projects include all sorts of techniques which makes this a wonderful book for anyone who loves to try a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Embroidery, piecing, applique, hand quilting… it’s all there.

After the introductory section where we meet Amy and the basic supplies are covered, the book is divided into five main sections. Handmades for Baby, Little Ones, the Kitchen, the Craft Room, for Every Day. It didn’t take me long to sit down and create a project from the book. I just couldn’t resist.

This is my “On the Spot Trivet” and I have to say that it’s the perfect project when you’re on the go.

My aim is to make a project from each section. With a few friends due to have babies real soon, the Handmades for Baby and for Little Ones section has so many lovely possibilities. I love to make gifts for friends, and a hand made gift from Sweetly Stitched Handmades will certainly be “one of a kind”.

If you’re on Instagram, come and join the Sweetly Stitched Sew Along hosted by Melissa from the blog Oh How Sweet and yours truly (Samelia’s Mum on Instagram).

We’d like everyone to choose their favourite 4-6 projects from the book. If you’d like, post a mosaic with your favourites so that we all know which ones you like best and what you plan to make.

Create the projects and inspire your friends by sharing progress shots on Instagram and including the hash-tag #SweetlyStitchedSAL

Each fortnight, our lovely friend Lisa, from A Spoonful of Sugar will be our judge and choose a winner from the pool of COMPLETED projects. Yes, you read that correctly. There are prizes!! Amy Sinibaldi will generously work out some prizes for each fortnightly winner.

The next day, the pool will start again with a new winner chosen the following fortnight… and so on and so forth… you get the picture.

Sweetly Stitched Handmades is available to purchase from Amazon and from Book Depository.
