Cappuccino Pavlova

If you’re looking for something sweet to make this festive season… something special… something which will score you a lot of points with your friends and family… you must try this Cappuccino Pavlova.

I saw Nigella Lawson make this the other day and it was one of those “drop everything, run to the kitchen and bake” sorts of moments.

I made my Cappuccino Pavlova with only 3/4 of the ingredients as it was just a sample one. Which means, 3 eggs, rather than 4. 3/4 cups of sugar, rather than a full one… you get what I mean.

The coffee meringue base turned out crunchy and delicious on the outside and filled with marshmallow softness in the centre. The coffee cut through the sweetness and gave this dessert and bitter sweet taste which was absolutely delicious.

If you’d like to have a go at making Nigella’s Cappuccino Pavlova, follow this link to her recipe. In my mind, that woman is the master when it comes to making delicious food.

I have grand plans to make this Cappuccino Pavlova again during the festive season… have I mentioned that I’m hosting 4 Christmas feasts here at my house over the next couple of weeks? A little bit of madness goes a long way, doesn’t it?

Keep an eye out for some more recipes and treats which I plan to make, bake, decorate, share, eat over the coming fortnight and into January… which incidentally, is my birthday month… really, is this not the best time of the year?

  1. LUUUUUUVVEE Nigella!! ... And Pavlova for that matter too :D Thanks for the link! I will definitely give this one a try!!

  2. My birthday is in January too - what date is yours? Mine is the 5th.
Seriously considering making this pav for my birthday cake. I made a pistachio and chocolate one last year - but coffee seems like a winner to me. Yum!

  3. Drool!! This looks sublime! Well done and good luck with your feasts :)
