Kids Make Christmas by Pia Deges is one of the most fun Christmas books, aimed at kids, which I’ve seen.
Kids Make Christmas contains over 40 kids bright,colourful craft projects for Christmas and there isn’t a project that my kids don’t want to make. They’re all look like fun, with materials which are easy to source from around the home or craft room.
The book is divided up into sections:
* In The Run-Up
* Good Luck Gifts
* Confectionery
* Oh Christmas Tree
* Playing Around
* New Years Eve Crackers
We’ve already started making a few little projects from this book.
Amelia got to work on her ‘Stripy Christmas Trees” the other day when she was home from school. We did adjust the pattern a little bit, but the inspiration was from this book.
Sam has his eye set on making the ‘Jarful of Delights’ for his teacher. My boy does love cooking, so it was a given that food gifts were what he chose.
All in all, I think this book is a wonderful addition to the craft book library. It will keep the kids entertained, with enough projects to keep them interested in creating (rather than watching television).
Kids Make Christmas is available here at Booktopia or other leading bookstores.
