Well today is the day. It's walk-through day. We get to do a final walk through of the new house, with the builder.

Someone told me to get a checklist on line so that we know what to check, look for, test etc...

Flyboy, being a man who likes a list, got to it and has about a dozen pages ready to tick off. I hope the builder is prepared to wait, while we check every fitting, power point and tap.





Today was also meant to be the day that we got the keys to the house and handed over the final payment... but as things weren't finished, inspections not carried out in time, reports not completed, we've been told that we won't be getting the keys today after all.

I know, I know. Patience is a virtue. Good things come to those who wait. All of those sayings, which are meant to make it a little easier to accept...

But after 2 years (since we started this process) my patience is wearing a little thin.

Wish me luck! It's going to be a busy day and I have butterflies.
