FNwF - Friday Night Sewing with Friends

It's the first Friday of the month, which means its FNwF.

I have a friend due to give birth to a baby girl next week. I started this quilt this week and tonight finished the last of the blocks.

It's a simple quilt made up with a Charm Pack and a Jelly Roll of Sew Stitchy by Aneela Hoey.

The pastel colours are just lovely for a little girl.

But, I've stopped working on the quilt for the evening. You see, Channing Tatum is only my television screen in "Dear John". You can see my dilemma.

I have a little bit of embroidery to work on - during the ad breaks, of course.

Without the Channing distraction, I'm hoping to finish the quilt this weekend. The forecast is for rain and cold wind, so sewing is the perfect way to spend the weekend.

Speaking of girlie films, I love "The Notebook". Love, love, love it!

What is your all-time favourite girlie film?

  2. Loving this quilt! Such a simple pattern, but the colours in the fabric just make it *work*!!! ... Can you believe that I only just watched the notebook for the first time, a couple of months ago?!! LUUUVVVED it!!! ... I also loved 'The Lucky Ones' (another Nicolas Sparks adaptation). Apart from those, my all-time fav girlie films would have to be 'The Holiday', 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days', 'Just Go With it', 'The Sweetest Thing', 'What to Expect', 'Legally Blonde' 1 & 2, and '27 Dresses'.

  9. The colours in your quilt are beautiful, just perfect for a baby girl! My all time favourite girly movie is "The Notebook" too, and yes, I think I have cried each time I watch it. I enjoyed "Dear John" the other night too, it was the first time I had seen it.
