Love Heart Bunting in under 30 Minutes {Tutorial}

Today I am sharing a quick tutorial on how to make some fun and super simple bunting. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s a quick bunting which can be made in under 30 minutes.

Best of all, the kids can help you make it. It’s crafty fun for the whole family.

Love Heart Bunting

Love Heart Bunting … made with paint chip cards which I picked up from the paint department at my local Hardware store.

What you need are various paint chip cards in reds, pinks, lilacs… really, whatever colour you like. If found and liked these British Paints cards which are a solid colour (rather than the 3 shades cards I used at Christmas).

Next you need a template. Either draw a heart on some cardboard or use a heart shaped cookie cutter, like I did.

You will also need a marker, hole punch and some twine.

Flip the cards over and trace around the heart shape.

Cut around the heart – this is a great step for the kids to get involved.

Using the hole puncher, make a hole in the centre of the top of the heart. Hard to describe what I meant, but if you look at the images, it’ll make sense.

Cut a long length of twine – I cut mine around 3 metres long.

Loop the twine through the holes and tie a knot. Add the next heart approximately 20cm along the twine.

Continue doing this until you either run out of twine or love hearts.

And there you have some quick love heart bunting. Hang it on a wall or on your curtain rail for a little bit of extra love in the room.

Do you decorate your home or space, for Valentine’s Day?
