Escape to Paradise

The south coast of NSW is absolutely beautiful.

Pristine beaches. Gorgeous little towns, dotting the coastline. Discovering great bakeries and coffee shops. Specialty stores with great must-have items.

Life is hectic and with hubby working away from home, we don't get to spend as much family time as a regular family does.

Every few months, we pack the car and escape for a weekend mini break.

This weekend we're staying in a holiday cabin in Batemans Bay - which is about 4 hours south of Sydney.

The kids love it because they've discovered the jumping pillow, a mini golf course and the playground.

Hubby is happy because we're about 100 metres from the beach. I foresee much fishing in the next few days.

And me? I have chocolate, a Nicholas Sparks novel and some hand sewing.
Most importantly though, we're having much needed family time.

What is happening at your place this weekend?

  1. My sister will be visiting from Tamworth while her son, aged 16, has training (on Saturday) with the NSW Country U18s baseball squad. They will be competing against NSW City and teams from other states at the championships in Geelong in January. I hope to get in some sewing time before they arrive tomorrow afternoon. And, of course, DD and family will also visit to see Aunty T and Cousin N. so, I'm having great family time too!
