I have no voice, but my hands work fine!

I know – it’s an odd title for a blog post. But it’s how my day is progressing. I have a nasty cold (or maybe it’s the flu) and as a result have lost my voice.

Not only am I feeling rotten, I can’t ring anyone to have a whinge to. Yuck!

Mr Man is away at work until tomorrow afternoon, so my 6 year old is in charge of answering the phone and doing all of the talking.

Even though my voice isn’t working, I have been doing a little sewing. For now it’s secret squirrel stuff, but you’ll see it in it’s entirety by next weekend.

I’m enamoured with raw edge applique. I know that I love it… and then I don’t do it for a while. I come back to it and am in love again.

What do you re-fall in love with, every time you do it?

Keep it clean!!

  1. YOga! I don't want to go because I'm too busy but once I get into a pose and make the mind/body connection I remember how much I love it!

  2. Oh I hope you feel better soon. I find it difficult looking after the kids when hubby away and not feeling well. I love the look of raw edge appliqué and have it on my list of things to try. I assume that you have gone round the appliqué two to three times on your machine? Rather than some fancy (double) machine stitch? I love scrap booking when I get back into it. Am doing some digital scrap booking at the moment which I also love and enjoy mixing traditional and digital. Can't wait ti see photos of your project next weekend!

  7. Hope you feel better soon!

I re-fall in love with needle turn applique. I don't do it often, because it is so time-consuming.
