Fab day!

So yesterday was a fab day.

The kids stayed with their grandparents and we went to the cinema to see American Pie Reunion. It was the midday show and really, there weren’t that many people in the theatre. It was a Friday and a gorgeous day. Or maybe American Pie isn’t to everyone’s taste.

I thought it was funny. And cringe-worthy. And funny. A trip down memory lane. And I could totally relate to some of the characters. Just like the previous films.

We came home for a couple of hours where I to put together a wonky star block for my Wollongong Modern Quilt Guild meet this morning - yes I left it til the last minute. Whoops!

We were supplied with the pink squares and used our own fabric to make the star. I had a layer cake square, which was perfect for the points.

Got dressed and then headed out again – this time to dinner with some friends.

Told you it was a fab day.

We went to the Outback restaurant. We were child-free, but our friends brought their baby which was great. I got baby cuddles – Yay!

At the Outback, they make something called a Blooming Onion, which is AMAZING!

This picture describes it better than I ever could. Yummy!

Mohito, anyone?

When was the last time you had date-night?

… and, did you spend the whole time wondering how the kids were?

  5. Sounds fabulous!

When does the Wollongong group meet? The Sydney group hasn't net since February and it seems the next meeting is in Kogarah. It would be faster and less stressful for me to drive down to Wollongong!
