Get your skates on… Disney on Ice is coming!

Easter school holidays are approaching. You know what this means, dont’ you?

A Disney show will be performed at a location near you!!

Well not necessarily near everyone. If you live in a remote town, I imagine Mickey Mouse won’t be ice-skating anywhere near you. You may need to check Google maps for your nearest location.

I live in in a suburb of Wollongong. I have paddocks with cows, horses, sheep and alpaca’s at the end of the road. Yes. Alpaca’s.

To our Sydney cousins, it seems like a world away, but guess where the new Disney on Ice show Let’s Celebrate! tour begins?

Yes! The tour will open on 14 June in Wollongong - Woo Hoo!!!! I would love to take my kids to see the show. There is nothing quite like the magic of Disney.

The show will them then travel to Newcastle, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide until 22 July.

In Sydney, Disney On Ice presents Let’s Celebrate! will play 11 shows at All-Phones Arena, Sydney Olympic Park from the 11-16 July.

To celebrate this latest show, I was told about a VERY cool upcoming event. And best of all, it’s free and…. everyone is invited!!

Friends and family of all ages can enjoy a FREE two hour ice skating session at Macquarie Ice Rink. Go all out and come dressed as your favourite Disney character or just get the family together for a great afternoon out.

When? This Sunday, 1st April between 4:30pm – 6:30pm. The session includes free entry and skate hire.

If you don’t have plans on Sunday afternoon, pop on down and have some Disney fun. I’ve been to the Macquarie Ice Rink and it is a great location. If like me, you’re heading from the south, the Macquarie Shopping Centre is easy easy to find.

With a capacity of 800 skaters, get in there early.

Have you been (or should I say, taken your kids) to a Disney Show?

  1. Yes, I have. A couple of years ago we took our kids to see one in Buffalo New York, also to celebrate hubbies bday at the same time.

  3. DD was having a really hard time at school when she was in Year 10. We took her to Disney on Ice, stayed overnight at a nearby hotel, and took her shopping on the Sunday. It cheered her up considerably!
