It’s all mine!

I have spent the past couple of days, making something, just for me.

It’s not often that I have the time to make things for myself, so making myself this mini quilt to hang on a wall in my sewing room, was great!

The weather was sooo gloomy and it’s just started to rain, so this photo isn’t the greatest. My little lady loves to come out and assist in my photo shoots.

While making this wall hanging, I got to thinking about a swap. Not for right now, but for the new year. I understand how crazy busy we all are now and will be for the next month.

I was thinking we could assign swap partners and make mini-quilts / wall hangings for a partner. Perhaps make up an inspiration collage in Flickr or on blogs.

Would you be interested in this type of swap? Leave me a comment on this post so I can gauge interest. Plus any thoughts / ideas for the swap.

  2. A little inspiration from Kellie Wulfsonh of Don't Look Now fame....I'm in the middle of making her one from the Whip Up Mini Quilts. Love yours as I think the material selection makes all the difference.

Oh .... did you just answer your own question...the swap could be to make a mini quilt with our partners blog name on it for their wall?????

  16. This mini-quilt is incredible! I'm not surprised you made it into your blog banner, it's beautiful.
I'm so jealous. Partly because you have it hanging in your house, and I want it hanging in mine, but partly because you made this and I'm way off being able to produce quilting of this standard.
I love the butterflies... and the flowers... and the little ladybird is so cute! Did you appliqué them? It's just perfect.
I'm printing this out and putting it on my pinboard as inspiration to sew more and quilt better!
