Bee Blocks and a Hexy flower

Well after our fun break down at Lake Conjola, we came home on Sunday afternoon to rest, clean, wash.

We're off again tomorrow, this time we'll be heading to Melbourne. The kids are on school holidays so we'll go and visit with the grandparents until Easter. I'm planning on going to the Australasian Quilt Convention while I'm there - I cannot wait :-)

I've not had much time to get any sewing done - only just enough time to make my Bee in Oz blocks and a Hexy for my April swap partner.

This is a block for Shruti. She wanted us to make a block based on Elizabeth Hartman's Tokyo Subway Map Quilt.

The next block I completed was for April. It is another Elizabeth Hartman block design - mod mosaic.

This block was ALOT of fun to make. I will definitely have to make this block again. What a fantastic way to use up scraps.

Here's a the little 3" signature block to go with it.

And finally, here's my little citrus coloured hexagon flower for my April swap partner in the Inchy Hexy Swap.

I'll be sitting in the car tomorrow for the 11 hour drive to Melbourne. I've got some little stitcheries ready, so while hubby drives, I can sew :-) Have a happy week!
