Teena, my partner for January requested an Ohio Star block in blue and green as her swap block.
Here's my version of it:
It came together surprisingly easily and quickly. I can see myself using this block to make a whole quilt for myself :-)
Also, after a few days of public holidays, my mail man brought me some goodies:
This first hexie was sent to me by Ros of Rosa Munda. Isn't is absolutely gorgeous. I absolutely love it.
I also received a lovely hexie from a forum friend, Gloria, in my requested citrus colours. I love the orange and yellow she's used :-) Thanks Gloria.
Time to go and trim some blocks now that my kiddies are asleep :-)

ReplyDeleteHexies are cute too:)
I love the hexies. The Ohio star is a classic. So many variations to play with.
ReplyDeleteLovely colours in the Ohio star block. The hexies look fabulous too. What will you be making with the hexagons?
ReplyDeleteLove the block you made for Teena - but then green is my favorite color :) The two hexies you received are great - I especially like the one from Gloria - so cheery!
ReplyDeleteLove your block! I think I could do some of those too!
