My DD was going through all of the latest brochures (junk mail) and came across this item in the "Toys'R'Us" catalogue. She told me that she wanted it... along with a game called "Pig goes Pop" (which has been soooo hard to find).
So, we were at the toy store the other day, while the kids were at pre-school, and there was a huge stack of them... so I bought her one... or maybe I bought it for me :-p
My DD is 3.
Is this too much?

She might like having her machine next to yours while you sew!
ReplyDeleteMy 2 yr old boy always wants to climb up next to me and push the fabric through - I have mostly given up trying to sew while he is around!
I think it is a great idea, something u guys can use together right now with her so young.
ReplyDeleteIt's cute! Even if she doesn't really use it yet, she'll feel special having one and what's wrong with starting young!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I say get it for her. You will be able to spend some quality time together, sewing.
ReplyDeleteIf only I had that sewing machine when I was little! Go for it!
ReplyDeleteThis is too cute! I am glad you bought it for her, it think it will offer you many hours of enjoyment with her.
ReplyDeleteMy grand daughter is 6 and I got her one for her birthday and she really can't do it yet. Even though she has spent many hours with me on my sewing machine. I would keep it back for a few years.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea such items were available! Isn't there an old saying about it never being too early for a child to learn? Go for it!
ReplyDeleteIt's like shopping... you're never to young to start! haha.
ReplyDeleteJust think of the amount of stash you'll have to own for the two of you! :)
Its wonderful! I'm sure she'll just love it...when I was a girl, my girlfriend had a little sewing machine and oh how we loved making dolls clothes!
ReplyDeleteI say, NO...it's not too much. What fun that she wants to be like mom and what a cute machine to start with. Love it!
