Criss-Cross Star Block (SHQAL)

It's scrappy happy Monday and todays block is the Criss-Cross Star block.

The Scrappiness is Happiness QAL is a pattern by Lori Holt from her new book, by the same name and available from the Fat Quarter Shop.

This block was very enjoyable to make - and FAST! It came together in under 30 minutes and that included deciding on and cutting the fabrics.

As I was making it, I had visions of the 'Everlasting Gobstopper' from the film, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".

I googled for a picture of the 'Everlasting Gobstopper' and read that there were only two of these left from the film. This one was owned by the actress who portrayed Veruca.

Back to the quilt block - here's the Criss-Cross Quilt that Lori made. Isn't it fun?
