Foodie Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on the Foodie Blog Hop, hosted by Creatin’ in the Sticks.

Our brief for this hop was something related to food. I had a think about it and was planning on making an oven mitt / hot pad set.

As the weather is quite cool here now with winter only a matter of weeks away, we’ve turned to eating soup, regularly. I’d made a couple of bowl cozies last year, which isn’t enough for our family, so I changed my mind about the project and made more bowl cozies. They’re definitely food related.

These cozies are very quick and easy to make but so very handy. I don’t know why I didn’t have enough for us to have one each, but it’s rectified now. Bowl cozies for everyone.

Check out what everyone else is making today on their stop in the Foodie blog hop.

Now, for an important question... what is your favourite bowl food?
Do you have a favourite winter soup? Or how about a favourite ice-cream dessert (for those in the Northern Hemisphere)?

  4. I have never made one! I was gifted 2 and that has been what we use. There are 4 of us but so far, the little girls do not care for soup. When they finally do, I definitely will have to make some more.

  15. Pretty and practical. The best part is you can throw them in the wash and they come out looking just as good.

  17. Your bowl cozies are perfect for the Foodie hop. Your fabric choices are spot on. They are so great for a hot bowl of soup or pasta but I had never thought about how perfect they are for a cold bowl of ice cream. Holding on to a cold bowl can be as bad as a hot one. Brilliant!

  18. I've made many bowl cozies but always for someone else not for me. I currently have 2 that are very used and abused that a friend made me knowing that I hadn't gotten around to myself. I think it is about time I replaced these 2 with fresh and bright like yours. I like split pea with ham soup in my bowl.`

  21. Bowl cozies are the best! I use mine daily and so does my husband. My favorite bowl food is definitely ice cream, but my most often eaten bowl food is cream of chicken soup.
