Berry Pie Blanket

The first day of September marks the first day of spring here in Australia. Mother Nature has certainly put on a beautiful day for this first day of the new season. It's a beautiful sunny day (22ºC) with only a slight breeze and not a cloud in the sky.

Firstly, I'd like to share that I've finally finished my Berry Pie blanket last night. I started it when the weather cooled down in late March. I decided that I would only use yarn that I had at home in my stash. I probably had enough yarn to make it a few rows longer, but figured finished was better than having it sit around as a WIP.

It could do with a bit of blocking to straighten up the sides but for now, I'm happy with how it's turned out. It's soft and cozy and made up of some pretty coloured yarn.

I took a few quick pictures of my Berry Pie Blanket this morning and will now put it away until next autumn/winter when the weather cools down again.

  3. I have really enjoyed the updates on your progress. It is a lovely afghan (as we say in the US). I also love your blog! Do you remember how many chains you used to begin and what stitch? I have lots of unused yarn and this would be perfect.
