V-Stitch Crochet Infinity Scarf

I started a new crochet project this week. Why have one project 'on-the-go' when you juggle lots of them? Right?

A friend of mine has a birthday coming up so I thought I'd make her an infinity scarf. I know that she LOVES scarves and during the winter wears them often. In saying this, I don't really think our weather gets cold enough for scarf wearing, but each to their own... plus I have a reason to make a handmade birthday gift. Winning!

I searched YouTube for a tutorial and came across this one for a simple V-Stitch scarf (video embedded above). The pattern works really well with this variegated yarn and the stripes almost look planned, but it was just sheer luck.

Crochet is just the most perfect portable craft - especially when it's this size. I keep it in a ziplock bag and have it handy for when I go out to take kids places or pick them up from places (they never seem to be finished on time). I'm hoping to have it finished by the weekend.

Fingers crossed.
