OMG - September 2019

September is going to be a busy month. Spring is in the air here in the southern hemisphere and we're ending our hibernation and enjoying the outdoors more. The days are getting longer and the evenings aren't as cold. The garden is beginning to awaken and it's time to plant seeds and seedlings for the early summer crops in the veggie patch.

The kids have a lot of activities both after school and planned for the coming weekends. Also my baby girl is having a birthday which means it's party time for the whole family. She's turning 12 and is SUPER excited. I have a few little surprises planned for her and she's hoping to fit in a birthday sleepover party with her friends too.

Did I mention the spring school holidays at the end of the month too? It feels like the kids only just went back to school. Gosh, it's going to be busy, busy, busy around here.

This month, I hope to finish the rest of my courthouse steps blocks for the Midnight at the Oasis Quilt. I've made 22 blocks so far and have another 22 alternate blocks to make. They only measure 5", are quite fiddly to make, but gee they'll look great when they're all finished and added as the final border on the quilt.

So that's my One Monthly Goal - piece the remaining blocks and sew them as the final border on my Midnight at the Oasis Quilt.

I'm linking up with Elm Street Quilts for OMG - September 2019

    1. Thank you Michelle. She is beyond excited for her birthday. We gave out a couple of invitations to her girlies for a day of shopping and fun and then possibly a sleep over. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

  8. Your blocks are looking lovely. It's starting too cool off around here, so I'm thinking about warm fall colors instead of bright spring ones, but I can never say no to a good neutral. That grey polka dot you went with is great.
