Pinky La La - Mini Quilt

I'm a brilliant procrastinator. I can leave things to the last minute and then it's a mad dash to the finish line.

It's the time of year when I create a lot of projects for the Christmas issues of magazines. Deadlines are looming... and yet, I found time to procrastinate and work on my Pinky La La mini mini quilt.

It's a combination of my favourite things - pink, linen, applique, dresden, hand quilting, ric rac and stripey binding. It measures 5.5" square and the Dresden is only 4" across.

The mini mini quilt is a challenge set by Make Modern magazine and is running to the 20th of June. To participate, make a quilt which measures no more than 6" and then share on Instagram with the hashtag #MMminiminiquilt - did I mention there are prizes? Go check it out!

A little tip if you make a little quilt - a single layer of binding is perfect (rather than double fold binding). I cut mine at 1.5" X WOF which folds over and tucks under nicely.

PS I have a project is the current issue 11 of Make Modern Magazine. If you'd like to purchase this issue, visit makemoder.com and use the code issue11friends for a special price.
