An Unusual Tuesday Treasure

My Tuesday treasure is a little unusual today...
It's a treasure that most of us have, or have had. Some hate this treasure and have alot of awful stories to tell about theirs, but some love this treasure and are so pleased that they're a part of their lives. I'm in the latter group. Definitely.

Have you guessed what this treasure may be?

I'll give you a hint - it's the mother of your partner. Yes, I'm talking about your mother in law!

My Mother In Law (MIL) is my Tuesday Treasure.

Me and Sue on her 60th birthday
She is a wonderful woman - firstly because she gave birth to, and raised my husband. Did I mention he was over 11 lbs at birth? She is supportive, patient, loving and inspiring.

What makes her even more amazing in my eyes is that she doesn't understand my fabric obsession, but doesn't judge it - well, not too much.

When the new Denyse Schmidt fabric appeared on shelves in the Box Hill store in Victoria, I sent her an SOS. My local store didn't have any in stock and I was concerned that I'd miss out on this rare opportunity.
She went out that afternoon (with my father in law, in tow) grabbed all of the bolts she could manage, got into the long queue and came away with 1/2 - 1 metre of each of the DS fabrics she found on the shelf.
She and my FIL arrived yesterday for a week long visit and handed over the bag of fabric loveliness. I tried not to drool in her presence. Didn't want her thinking I was a little (or a lot) crazy or anything.

So what (or who) is your Tuesday treasure?

Pop on over to Melody's blog at The House on the Side of the Hill for more Tuesday Treasures.
