Any scrap that is bigger than 2" square I put into an ice cream pail, to be turned into 2" squares. Any scrap larger than 1/2" I put into a box which I use to piece made-fabric 7.5" squares, each of one color, which I then use to make gifts. It's amazing what I have made with what I used to throw away! My favorite gift to make with these are baby quits, with wide white sashing between rainbow collored blocks. sarah@forrussia.orgSarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17483384474529466482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2603222641266424303.post-87194993826312579612015-08-29T08:21:03.447+10:002015-08-29T08:21:03.447+10:00I actually organized my scraps with the method/tut...I actually organized my scraps with the method/tutorial in Sunday Morning Quilts.. I certainly could learn heaps from it still being a beginner quilter. I have a small stash that is contained in medium sized plastic containers which several are not organised in anyway, but I do have one container for all my blue and white fabrics. I have started to collect any of my scraps of left over fabrics. So that I can make my own fabric's which do love making and have made a couple of projects in that way. I so far have also kept any reasonable pieces of fabric for a rainy day theory. It might just fit into something else one day. So nothing goes to waste unless it can't be sewn on!!!
