Cheesecake Table Runner

Lemon Curd Cheesecake Quilted Table Runner

Good Morning and welcome to my stop on the Cake Mix Quilt Along - the Cheesecake Quilt.

The Cake Mix Quilt Book: Volume 1 by It's Sew Emma, available from the Fat Quarter Shop uses recipe cards, layer cakes and the Cake Mix patterns featured in the book to build dessert inspired quilts.

The design is made up of half square triangles - lots and lots and lots of them. Using the cake mix recipe card (number 8) made the whole process more precise and so much easier. The little HST's are only 1.5" square but are easy with the recipe cards.

I chose to use a 10" Stacker of White Swiss Dot by Riley Blake Designs with yardage of Kona Cotton in Citrus, which I cut into 10" squares.

I quilted this project with a 'Boxes' design which I learned when I watched The Quilter's Path: Plan It, Stitch It, Quilt It by Christa Watson on Craftsy. It's a modern, forgiving and irregular quilting style and a lot of fun to do.
